The following is a case study of an aircraft bracket built on an EOS M280 in Aluminum AlSi10Mg optimized with Altair to improve the original design. The geometries used can only be achieved through Additive Manufacturing (AM).
This is a great case study because of the re-design methodology enabled by solidThinking Inspire which allowed for the consideration of up to 7 attachment points instead of the original 2. It is a good example of the flexibility and exploration that “Inspire” allows when a re-design is being considered.
