Canada Makes would like to announce Elliott Matsuura Canada as its newest member. Since 1950, Elliott Matsuura has provided complex metal cutting solutions meeting the challenges of aerospace, automotive, medical, energy, and other industries. It is now introducing to Canada the Lumex Series Avance 25 and 60 Metal Laser Sintering Hybrid Manufacturing.
“Building new partnerships and introducing new ways of doing things is something Canada Makes is always looking to accomplish,” said Frank Defalco Manager Canada Makes. “Partnering with Elliott Matsuura brings new possibilities to Canada’s manufacturers and we are please to have them as part of Canada Makes.”
“The Matsuura Lumex line of hybrid metal additive manufacturing systems has been available in Japan for over twelve years. This Matsuura series of machines combine powder-bed selective laser sintering (SLS) with high-speed milling (HSM). The machines are capable of manufacturing highly complex, integrated parts and molds in shapes that would be impossible using traditional milling methods”, says Frank Bolieiro VP-Sales and Marketing at Elliott Matsuura Canada Inc. “Partnering with Canada Makes will bring us the network of Canadian manufacturers looking for better ways to produce components, and to stay competitive in the world markets.”
The Lumex series is changing common knowledge for mold die making. It performs the sintering of complicated mold dies without splitting them, thus eliminating assembly and adjustment stages and making it possible to produce mold dies with no dimensional errors that may be caused by conventional assembly processes.
