Additive manufacturing is often discussed in terms of scale and productivity, but its real strength lies in customization. That belief is at the core of AMmonite Lab, a design studio founded by Brice Sarrazin and based near Montreal.
Brice brings nearly a decade of experience across the additive manufacturing ecosystem. His background spans design-for-additive-manufacturing, business development, digital platforms, and advanced materials. This end-to-end perspective shaped his approach with AMmonite Lab - focusing less on mass production and more on designing for people.
AMmonite Lab is centered on human-focused, ergonomic, and adaptive solutions. Leveraging 3D scanning and advanced design workflows, Brice develops parts that are tailored to individual needs - improving fit, comfort, and usability. Applications range from assistive devices and braces to ergonomic tools and adapted sports equipment.
The studio takes a technology-agnostic approach to additive manufacturing. Rather than prioritizing a single process, Brice selects the most appropriate AM technology and material for each project (whether its polymer, metal, or soft materials like silicone) to deliver the best possible functional and aesthetic outcome.
AMmonite Lab is currently focused on building real-world applications and use cases that demonstrate the value of personalized additive manufacturing.
If you’re interested in being involved in these types of projects as a collaborator, practitioner, or someone exploring custom-fit solutions - Brice welcomes conversations. To learn more or connect, reach out directly to Brice Sarrazin online at AMmonite Lab or on LinkedIn.
