SENIOR SALES CONSULTANT

As a senior sales consultant, you will be selling 3D metal printing services across Canada and the United States. You will be selling to clients primarily in manufacturing, more specifically the injection molding industry.

This is a newly created position with future career advancement potential to Sales Manager. The base salary is $70,000 - $90,000 plus sales commissions, bonuses and the potential for a future equity stake in the company. First year OTE at 100% of plan to meet or exceed $120,000. Fully paid benefits, mileage reimbursement, expense reimbursement, cell phone and laptop.

Additive Metal Manufacturing (AMM) is a privately held company with 5+ years of history in the 3D metal printing industry. In the last 12 months following the economic downturn of the pandemic, AMM has seen significant growth in sales and continuous opportunity for market development. The culture is upbeat and has a family-type atmosphere.

AMM is a leader in their field. AMM has two focuses related to their sales strategy: selling 3D metal printing services for low volume (1-100 pieces) prototype and custom manufacturing, mold inserts, or tooling projects, as well as highly repeatable, contract manufacturing projects. Clients include OEM’s and Tier 1’s across a variety of industries.

THE LOCATION

AMM’s head office is located in Concord, Ontario. This position will include flexibility to work from head office, work from home, and visit both existing client accounts as well as prospective clients.

PRODUCT VALUE AND SALES CYCLE

The average order size ranges between $5,000 - $12,000. The sales cycle can range from 1 month to 6 months and AMM has currently 60% of annual revenue as repeat business from existing clients.

AMM is a leader in 3D printing. AMM offers a consultative approach to manufacturing and has a number of manufacturing partners to exceed client expectations. Additionally, AMM has key partnerships with academic institutions across Canada and the USA.

PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS

AMM’s prospective clients are in manufacturing, more specifically within the injection molding and tool making space. AMM also works with OEM’s and Tier 1’s across North America.

TYPICAL DAY AND DUTIES

Develop and implement the corporate sales strategy and business in support of the overall sales strategy, goals, and objectives, ensuring that set targets and quotas are met. Develop and manage the sales budget for annual sales campaigns, promotions, and initiatives in coordination with other departments and teams. Identify key market segments, new prospects, and sources. Develop plans and select the best sales approach to generate and increase revenue with new leads. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to retain business and promote revenue growth opportunities. Prepare and conduct sales presentations, proposals, and price quotes for clients. Negotiate contracts and successfully close deals. Regularly monitor and report on set quotas, targets, goals, and revenue requirements for the sales team. Manage sales orders and client service requirements. Build and maintain effective relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction. Provide information on AMM’s service offerings to enhance awareness and build the business, cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. Follow-up to ensure orders are processed correctly, information is accurate, client’s needs are met. Monitor historical information and trends to gain insight into future performance, potential gaps, and unmet needs.

REPORTING

The senior sales consultant will report to the Direct of Sales. A weekly call will be conducted to ensure ongoing communication, the required support is being provided and sales targets are being met.

EXPERIENCE

Must have 10+ years of relevant sales experience with a history of selling to manufacturers, specifically injection molders and tool makers. Must be able to demonstrate an ability to quickly understand how 3D metal printing can be successfully applied to specific applications and have a trusted network to partner with. A background in 3D printing or plastic injection molding is preferred but not required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

History of technical sales experience is required. Strong computer skills, online screen sharing, MS Office, experience with sales CRM, hosting online webinars is also required.
