We are an industry non-profit organization that takes a leadership role in educating Canadian manufacturers and technology companies on how to best adopt artificial intelligence (AI). Our focus is the networking of manufacturers, technology companies, consultants, suppliers, educational institutions and governments with the exchange of information, advocacy, innovation and collaboration.
Position Overview


The Membership & Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting both the Canada Makes and AI4Manufactruing Canada organizations, by engaging new and existing members, supporting program delivery, and enhancing operational efficiency. This role requires a goal-oriented, self-motivated individual who can work independently and follow through on the organization’s mandate to advance additive manufacturing across Canada. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, resourceful, and committed to building a strong national network that fosters innovation and collaboration within the manufacturing community.


Key Responsibilities
Membership Development & Retention
Identify and attract new members to respected AI and additive ecosystem through targeted outreach, partnerships, and communications.


Support existing member retention through consistent engagement, check-ins, and tailored value-driven communications.
Maintain accurate membership records, renewals, invoicing, and reporting in coordination with the Director of Member Relations.
Support the design and execution of membership campaigns, case studies, and success stories to highlight the benefits of participation.


Program & Funding Support
Support the coordination and execution of ongoing funding programs, ensuring the successful deployment of program objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, reports, and tracking of funded projects and partnerships.
Research and track national and regional funding programs relevant to AI, additive manufacturing and advanced technology adoption.
Administrative & Data Management
Organize and maintain internal data systems, contact lists, and shared resources.
Implement and optimize administrative processes to streamline communications, scheduling, and reporting.
Support the creation of content for newsletters, website updates, and social media to promote member stories and industry insights.


Qualifications & Skills
Post-secondary education in business, communications, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in membership coordination, project administration, or ecosystem development (preferably in manufacturing, technology, or innovation sectors).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with CRM systems, digital tools, or data organization software (e.g., HubSpot, Excel).
Self-motivated, curious, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and growing national network.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Willingness to travel (approximately 10–15% of the time) for trade shows, and events.

This is a contract position with a compensation range of $22-27 per hour + membership commission, commensurate with experience. The initial contract term offers the opportunity for extension based on performance and organizational needs.
